Basically the whole show was a highlight for me. No nervousness before or during, just straight through rockin'. Favourite: End Easy Hearsay was loud and beautiful.

Ed Jurken was suprising complicated and gentle; a real crowd pleasing gangle. I have his demos and they will hopefully be released in some form down the road - they are great. We joined him at the conclusion of his set for a rousing version of Dylan's "Oh Sister" with me as Emmylou Harris. This matching of a solo performer with us, and all of us doing a cover together is something I'd like to continue doing. Ben hit some serious notes singing backup (or frontup, as he was standing directly in front of me) on End Easy Hearsay.

I was happy to have Ben at center stage. I loved our audience. really. thank you. While some may interpret your facial expressions as blank stares, I prefer to remember each of you as mesmerized, hypnotized by our sonic/visual onslaught.

Worst moments:

Somebody in the audience checking their watch 2 minutes into first song Kaoshiung Luxuriousness. That is just NOT POSSIBLE unless she was deaf (and blind for that matter)

Once again we were confronted with an audience filled mostly of friends (cold in Ben's art space) who claimed and I believe them don't get me wrong to enjoy it but while we were playing looked at us with decidedly blank stares. Let's face it, our decision to avoid clubs is causing non-club people to see us, and they have been tending to seem sad not glad as an audience. This is becoming a frustrating dilemma, but at least if we're going to have to play to only 15 people I'd rather it be on turf we create rather then the donjons of Empty Bottle or Hideout.
